We are an IRS-approved 501c3 charity incorporated in the State of Georgia. We are dedicated to helping kids and their families face brain cancer which is a leading cause of death among kids whether young or older. Over 15,000 kids under 19 were diagnosed with brain cancer and nearly 1,800 of those lost their lives to brain cancer in 2017. *
100% of the donations received pay for services directly benefiting the children, their families and promoting/enabling this cause
Child Proton Radiation Treatment Facts:
- 39 days are typically required for treatment
- 39 days of anesthesia costs $60,000+ per child and is a health risk in itself (which you can help the kids avoid!)
- UFHPTI treats children from most US states and around the globe, treating more children for brain and spinal cancers than any other proton center in the world
- Children’s fund donations at UFHPTI (2012-2016) resulted in $2 million savings in medical costs while also improving the treatment experience of each child
